Learn how to teach 21st Century health and safety critical thinking skills using fun, participatory activities, with the Youth @ Work: Talking Safety curriculum available from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
Safety in the Workplace needs to be addressed by all work-based learning programs including CTE pathway courses. The State Superintendent’s Career Ready Initiative, the Anchor Standards in the California CTE Model Curriculum Standards, and the Eleven Elements of High-Quality Work-Based Learning (AB2211) all direct teachers to cover this topic.
